Five churches in broadway unitedly organised a Palm sunday Procession to mark the triumphal entry of Jesus Christ into the city of Jerusalem 2000 years ago.CSI Wesley tamil Church took initiative to organise the procession.The procession started from CSI Bishop Corrie Higher secondary School with intoduction and Prayer by Rev.T.Kiumar, of Tucker church.
Youth members of Arcot Lutheran Church (ALC) enacted the "Walking Jesus" role which led the procession and the choir of ALC and CSI, Tucker church with their choir dress along with the Cross bearer follwe it. Three different floats depicting the Jesus Prayer at Gethsemane,Sermon on the Mount and the Empty tomb surrounded by the two Angles were the part of the floats .Volunteers distributed pamplets about the christ entry into Jerusalem and his deliberate attempt to use a donkey(Which means"Peace") for his procession along with his followers.Members of these churches carried flags which carried the word"HOSANNA"(meaning "Save Us Now").As usual all carried Palm leaves which was one of the major parts at the time of christ procession in jerusalem on the First Palm sunday led by Jesus Christ.
The procession ended at Tucker church with the vote of thanks and prayer by the Rev.N.Manova Santhosham,Presbyter CSI Wesley Tamil Church and the benediction by the Re.T.Kumar.
